About South Yorkshire Wheels2Work

We first launched South Yorkshire Wheels2Work in 2004 in the parish of Bradfield in Sheffield. Over the past eight years we’ve expanded the scheme to cover the whole of South Yorkshire. During the past 3 years alone, we have helped over 750 people get to work, college or training!

We recently commissioned an independent evaluation of our scheme which found that for every £1 we invest in providing scooters at least £11 of economic impact is achieved. The evaluation also found that 95% of our customers are either highly satisfied or satisfied with the support we provided.

I was going bankrupt at the time, it was a difficult time for me personally and the scheme really helped me out."
Without SYW2W I wouldn't be in the position I am now. It changed my life. I was on disability benefit allowance and the scooter helped me get to work and I'm now a teacher at a College. It made a tremendous difference to me, it opened up my life, it opened up opportunities right, left and centre."
